- thick paper
How to make: a crown for King’s Day
Step 1: cut plenty of red, blue and white (or orange) squares (5×5 cm). If you want to make a crown for adults you needs approximately 12 squares.
Step 2: crease the squares diagonally and smoothen the folding line.
Step 3: take every triangle and apply glue to one side of the triangle (the outerside), on both sides. Don’t put glue on the inside because you need to add another triangle on the inside of the ones you are glueing). Stick the triangle into another triangle. Continu until your crown is long enough. Try it on every now and then.
Step 4: is your crown long enough? Open the crown by pulling the outer tops of the triangle away from each other. Now you add more triangles to the crown. Apply glue to both sides of the triangle and stick it into the crown.
Step 5: when you are almost finished, glue the crown together and add the final triangle into the crown. Press firmly. Your crown is ready for King’s Day!
